Prof. Dr. Ad de Jongh is a healthcare psychologist and a dentist and is an Endowed Professor at the 'Academische Centrum Tandheelkunde' (ACTA) of the University of Amsterdam and the VU. He is specialised in the treatment of trauma related anxiety disorders and he brought EMDR to the Netherlands. De Jongh is involved in research about the effectiveness of evidence-based treatment for the effects of traumatising events.
