Prof. Dr. W.A. (Wim) Veling is a psychiatrist and Professor of Psychiatry at the UMCG. His focus is on psychosis, global mental health and virtual reality. He wrote his dissertation on Schizophrenia in Ethnic Minorities. His research is mostly focused around the social context of psychosis with related psychiatric epidemiology, global mental health and the application of virtual reality tools. He received a ZonMw Veni fellowship for his research on the application of virtual reality for psychotic disorders.
