Prof. Dr. Allan Abbass is director of the 'Centre for Emotions and Health' at the Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. He started his career as a somatic doctor and he specialised in Davanloo's 'Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy'. Abbass focussed on pscychosomatic disorders as a researcher and psychiatrist. He wrote some books, among which 'Reaching through Resistance. Advanced psychotherapy techniques' (2015) and together with Howard Schubiner he wrote 'Hidden from view. A clinician’s guide to psychophysiological disorders' (2018).
