Imke Herrmann, from Institut für Emotionsfokussierte Therapie – IEFT, is a graduate psychologist, lecturer, teaching therapist and supervisor. She is currently a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Psychotherapists, of the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR) and of the German Society for Emotion-focused Therapy (DeGEFT). Imke Herrmann is a qualified therapist in Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-focused therapy (certified international trainer and supervisor), Emotion-focused couple therapy and Integrative trauma therapy. She is also a co-founder of The Institute for Emotion Focused Therapy (IEFT), an institute that offers continuing education courses in Emotion-focused Therapy (EFT) recognized and certified by the ISEFT (International Society for Emotion-focused Therapy – ISEFT). For many years the IEFT have been training therapists from various schools who experience emotion-focused work as an enormous enrichment of their therapeutic activities.
