Patricia A. Resick, PhD, ABPP, is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine. She developed Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) in 1988 and founded the Center for Trauma Recovery at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. She also led the Women’s Health Sciences Division of the National Center for PTSD for ten years. Dr. Resick has conducted many CPT trials with both civilians and military personnel. She is a past president of ISTSS and ABCT, and has received numerous awards for her research and mentoring, including Lifetime Achievement Awards from APA Division 56, ISTSS, and ABCT.
