Dr. Trudy Mooren, PhD, is a senior researcher in Clinical Psychology at Utrecht University and a practicing clinical psychologist at Foundation Centrum '45 and Arq. Her work centers on trauma in youth and families, particularly focusing on refugees, asylum seekers, and military personnel, as well as intergenerational trauma from the Second World War. She leads research initiatives that explore both the personal and familial impacts of psychotrauma, and she serves as a co-promoter on related research projects. With qualifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and family therapy, Dr. Mooren is deeply involved in training, lecturing, and supervising trainees in clinical settings, including in post-conflict regions.
